Bonz Swencionis
Executive Speaker Coaching | Founder & CEO
We are honored to welcome Bonz Swencionis as a Virtual Speaker at the Dog People Evolution Conference 2025.
Some dog people change the way we see leadership, others challenge how we understand communication, and then there are those who have a way of bringing it all together in a way that feels completely new. Bonz Swencionis is one of those dog people. With a broad and varied background, Bonz embodies the kind of curiosity, adaptability, and deep empathy that define our evolution. Their work is rooted in a profound understanding of connection, how we build it, how we nurture it, and how it transforms us.
We are beyond excited to have Bonz as one of our speakers, bringing their insight, experience, and perspective to this incredible gathering of dog people. This is someone who doesn’t just talk about change, they live it. And we can’t wait for you to meet them.
More About Bonz
"My great grandfather was a dog whisperer in World War II. 3 generations later, I was the designated “dog autistic” in multiple friend groups. When my friends had a dog question or problem, I was “that friend” they went to. I was confident in my dog skills and knowledge.
In 2021, ready to take a big step, I adopted a mixed breed rescue with a clear aptitude for service tasks. Turns out, she also had some major undisclosed sensitivities and challenges. And then my life circumstances abruptly changed, and this adolescent high-needs dog and I wound up in a city apartment.
I got my ass handed to me. And then I found out that the people I thought could help us, had some really weird ideas.
Now’s probably a good time to mention…
I’m also a leadership coach, with a specialty in communication. I’m a (queer, nonbinary, disabled, and neurodivergent) published scholar in the field of inclusion, and a business owner and team leader of 10 years, passionate about flexible approaches for diverse needs and experiences.
Finding out I was totally un-ready to lead this 2-person team in my own home? And didn’t even know whom to trust, to find the answers? Ouch.
4 years (and dog training school, and a world of support) later? We’re really happy. I’m grateful for all the support (from my ancestors, to my dog friends) that got us here. And I want to be there for other dog people, who are interested in how we do this, together."
