Agnieszka Janarek is the founder of Tromplo and a leading practitioner of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), committed to bridging the gap between rigorous scientific research and practical animal training. Throughout her journey, Agnieszka has worked tirelessly to promote a culture of evidence-based practices over myth in the dog training world, ensuring trainers can think critically, develop their skills, and apply cutting-edge strategies to everyday challenges. Tromplo’s educational programs empower trainers to grow, adapt, and embrace science-backed methods that create lasting, positive change in both the industry and the lives of the animals they work with.
More About Agnieszka
Agnieszka’s approach to training emphasizes choice-centered learning, where animals are active participants in their educational process. This philosophy not only builds trust but also fosters a deep sense of collaboration within the positive reinforcement community. It’s a model where trainers come together to share insights, evolve their practices, and create a supportive space for mutual growth.
Founder of the Nosework Poland Association
In addition to Tromplo, Agnieszka has had a lasting impact on the dog world through her involvement in the Nosework Poland Association, which she founded in 2016. Under her leadership, it grew to become the largest association dedicated to scent detection sports in Poland, reflecting her dedication to innovative, species-appropriate enrichment. Though she has since stepped away from the association, Agnieszka is proud of the lasting influence and transformation it continues to have on the sport today.
A Lifelong Commitment to Growth and Ethical Change
Currently pursuing a PhD in Psychology at Jagiellonian University, Agnieszka is researching canine anxiety behaviors to deepen our understanding of emotional well-being in dogs. Her academic work reflects a lifelong commitment to advancing knowledge and improving the welfare of dogs through scientifically informed practices. Outside her professional life, Agnieszka is surrounded by three rescue dogs—Gustaw, Gapcio, and Gunia—who inspire her daily and embody the deep bond between humans and animals.
Agnieszka’s work is a testament to the profound power of change, growth, and compassion in both the dog industry and the broader community of animal care professionals. Through Tromplo, she continues to transform the way we think about training, offering new perspectives that drive progress, ethical change, and personal evolution for all involved.
